I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 6 March
I'm so encouraged, was down 600g down on the scale this morning. It is really helping me to log my food in at "fatsecret" and see how much carbs, fats and protein I'm eating daily. I was thinking that I was just doing fine, but not coming down on the scale! Now I realize that I was eating to much and I kept telling myself I'm eating too little.
BREAKFAST this morning was a bun in a mug made with 2T of flaxseed, 1T olive oil, 1 egg an 1/2t of baking powder. I fried an egg in butter and divided the egg between the two halves of the bun. Had 2 slices of tomato and blue cheese with this. A breakfast to die for! Coffee and cream.
Had another mug of coffee with cream midd morning.
LUNCH was 2 cups of chopped lettuce, half a tin of tuna, 1 cup of chopped cucumber and 1T of olive oil.
Had a slice of cheese midd afternoon with a cup of coffee and cream to pull me through to supper.
SUPPER is going to be big treat for me. I am having a chicken thigh with a cup of steamed broccoli and a cup of cauliflower topped with a drizzle of garlic butter and 3T of oven baked pumpkin.
Todays food seemed more but my ratio protein, fats and carbs were the same as yesterday. I'm getting slowly but surely more wise with my food choices. Logging my food in the morning for the day also helps me to stick to what I have logged in as I know if I go over I will not see any results on the scale.
