I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 16 March
A new week is breaking tomorrow! I have mixed feelings this week about eating low carb...... Not giving up NEVER! But on how to do it? I have tried logging my food on Fatsecret the last week and a half and have been eating more fats and cutting back on protein. I can't see any significant change in my weight. I think I will just go this week sticking to eating purely low carb and just relax...... Reading Tim Noakes's book again about living a lifestyle of low carbing. Eventually the last few kilograms will come off. This is not a diet for me but a way of living......
BREAKFAST was a bun in the mug made with 2T of flaxseed. I had two fried eggs with this, tomato wedges and a touch of blue cheese for flavor. Coffee and cream.
There was a lot of cake and cookies at church but I managed to just slide past it ;) Surprisingly I was not so hungry today.
We came back home late afternoon with friends for supper. I had a T of peanut butter for a snack to pull me along as I was cooking supper.
SUPPER was broccoli, chicken, mushrooms, a bit of carrots strips stir fried in a Chinese sauce and finished off with a sprinkle of peanuts. Had a salad of cucumber strips, tomato, lettuce and cheese cubes.
All the best for this week. I'm telling myself JUST KEEP GOING!
