I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 19 March
Today has been a hard day....... After the bit of a sugar fall out yesterday I'm craving everything and more today. I feel a bit discourage as the scale shot sky high this morning..... It is going to take determination and discipline. Heading forward today sticking to low carb and hoping for the best.
BREAKFAST started of well with an omelette of one egg, spinach, tuna and a bit of cheese. 2 Mugs of coffee and cream.
LUNCH was smoked salmon strips with cucumber and lettuce. Also had a cup of eggplant fried in olive oil and garlic left over from a previous meal.
Midd afternoon I had 1T of mixed nuts, coffee and cream.
SUPPER is going to be half a chicken fillet with stir fried broccoli and a side salad of lettuce, tomato, cucumber and pickles.
I'm also rethinking the madness and miracle of adding fat into my diet. I have been loosing better in the past cutting back on healthy fats. I'm actually reading the Dukan diet book and seeing if there is any light at the end of the tunnel. The first phase of the Dukan diet is a week of just eating protein. It is tempting and worth the try to see if it will work. Reading more and then will see what I will do.
