I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 20 March
After loosing most of my weight with the Atkins diet I have come solidly to a stall. I have tried bringing in more fats into my diet, lowering my carbs even more and keeping my protein moderate. There was not much of a breakthru in coming down more on the scale.....
After much thought and reading I decided to change direction and stay within the Low Carb boundaries and do the first phase of the Dukan Diet for 10 days. In the initial phase there is allot of protein with little fat.
It has been a good day with BREAKFAST being an egg, 1 1/2T of oat bran and some tuna. Coffee - OH AND I HAVE TO GIVE UP CREAM in my coffee!
LUNCH AND SUPPER was and will be some more protein. I am swinging between eggs, yogurt, tuna, chicken and even sardines. No cheese! Oh I am missing cheese ;)
The best advice I have ever come across and this from the "professional" Low Carbers is to when you come to a stall to change direction and try something new. Well I hope this is going to work..... Will keep you updated!
