I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 23 March
I took a break from the Dukan diet today and just did Low Carb....... Just eating protein is a bit much. I love vegetables and salad. Going on tomorrow and will do it for the next week.
I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the last kilograms before I reach my goal of 70kg has been hard. I have been trying out different tweaks from Low Carb eating..... sad to say my weight has not dropped as I had expected but have gone up slowly, drop a bit and up again over the last month.....
I was hoping through the Dukan diet to drop a few kilograms. Sadly to say I have been coming down in weight some and then last night I had a cup of Greek yogurt with half a t of dark chocolate chips. That was enough to just get me going on CHOCOLATE as I totally indulged. I was so disappointed in myself...... but again have a good opportunity to get up and go on again..... Today is a new day and I'm going forth in strength and hope!
Was shocked when I got on the scale this morning and saw that I was a full 75kg! Hoping to make a dent this week. The weather is good and it gets lighter earlier in the morning. I want to get up earlier and go for a brisk walk and interval running with light hand weights.
BREAKFAST was an omelette of spinach, 2 eggs and half a tin of tuna with a bit of mayonnaise.
LUNCH was a bun in a mug made with 2T of oat bran. I know it is not to low in carbs but I felt like doing an experiment. I had the bun with the other half of the tin of tuna with a drizzle of lemon.
SUPPER was a late afternoon barbecue as a family. I had half a chicken fillet, one ground meat kebab and a piece of chorizo sausage. I made the cauliflower mock salad on request of my husband and I also had a scoop of that ;)
Sunday evening is always a good time to think about my weight loss goals for the coming week. I want to set a gaol to weight 70kg by beginning May! I can reach my goal if I loose a kilogram a week.... It sounds simple BUT HARDER TO TO DO! Just going forward without a goal is not going to help met to get there. .....
All the best for the coming week dear friends. x x x
