LOW CARB - CAMPING!

Had a great weekend as a family camping with friends. Was my first experience camping in a tent. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Got more mosquito bites than I bargained for. :)

The worst was the food, not that it was bad or tasting horrible. It was just not LOW CARB.  It was hosted by the organization that owned the camp ground. We were a large group of people and it was on a budget. CARBS was the staple of most of the meals.

BREAKFAST was always the normal Turkish breakfast of boiled eggs, feta cheese, tomato, cucumber and olives. I loved it as I could begin every day with two eggs as normal.

LUNCH was a lighter meal with bread or rice or pasta as the main. It was soup or sandwiches. I took cheese wedges and cucumber with and I kept it in our tent in a cooler bag.  I was hoping the cucumber and cheese would keep me full and not influence weight gain. When there was soup I tried to not eat the potato or pasta inside. My family enjoyed the extra potatoes and pasta ;)

SUPPER was the main meal often stuffed eggplant or peppers. The first night we got stuffed eggplant with ground meat. It was so good and I could eat it! The other evenings were pasta etc.

There were not much temptations with cake and candy so I had no problem there. I had no problem skipping the fruit that was served as dessert.

This morning on the scale was a disappointment..... I was hoping that I would have lost after I really tried not to jeopardize my Low Carb Eating while camping... I was 700g up on the scale.

I was wondering if it wasn't that I had too little to eat?
Maybe some carbs did sneak in somehow?

Well what ever the situation it is there and I'm going to do all I can to get rid of it and more.

TODAY IS MONDAY! Always a good time to begin again!
