BREAKFAST was scones with cream and jam FOR MY FAMILY..... Mama bear had a bun in a mug and sliced it like a scone ;) I had butter, cheese and tuna on my "scone" with coffee and cream. Missed having jam but the carb count here on the diabetic jam is so high....... I just live without it.......
LUNCH AND SUPPER was together as we left home for church at 11 and got home at four this afternoon. I was starving.....
I made a container of chicken livers!!!!!! I know!!!!!!! I was shocked on high cheap they were and how much protein they have AND LOW IN CARBS!!!!! I fried some onion add the livers with a touch of barbeque salt and a T of balsamic vinegar. WASNT STEAK but it was good. My family had their noses up in the air enjoying their pizza ;) I had a bit of tomato and lots of lettuce with the livers. Was telling my family that they should smile I'm being economic and looking stunning at the same time and that eating chicken livers. ;D
Had two cubes of dark peppermint chocolate for dessert. I always try to keep my obvious carb choices like chocolate under 5g net carbs at a time. Then it does not kick my blood sugar and insulin to get going.
Normally in winter I love to eat lots of vegetables in soup, stir fried, stewed etc. Interesting I have totally lost my taste for veggies.... Going to work this week on getting more low carb vegetables into my diet.
