THINKING OUT LOUD! - about Low Carb Eating......and LOOSING WEIGHT!


1. It is more difficult to keep to NO SUGAR ALLOWED in any form than what I thought it would be.

2. Eating only protein, vegetables and occasionally nuts has been more fulfilling and satisfying than I thought.

3. I miss fruit and have to restrain myself not to eat it. I never thought that it would be so hard.

4. Didn't think that one cheat like ice cream, a tiny piece of cheesecake could throw a person off the wagon into crave world and then not loosing any weight for up to a week.

5. That a cheat can cause a kilogram of weight gain easily from one meal.

6. Having to loose a cheat meal always sounded so easy. Just loose it the next day get back on the program..... NO! I have to loose it 100g at a time day by day! Painfully!

7. Didn't know how many years I lived in denial about how fat I really was......

8. Have no idea and way to really see the thin me...... I still imagine myself being fat when I walk past a mirror.

9. Having an idea on the BMI scale where I am in my weight helps me to keep perspective on how much weight I still have to loose.

10. I knew my husband loved me even being overweight but am amazed daily on how many compliments he gives me on how great I look.

11. It is hard getting rid of my clothes that are too big. I am afraid I will gain the weight back and then have nothing to wear.......

12. Feeling really insecure on what I should buy to wear now as I am not 25 anymore..... I have never been a nr 12 since my midd twenties.

13. Finding it hard to cook for my carb loving family and I eat other food.

14. I do crave sweets and would love to eat chocolate and ice cream and donuts like my family do..... having to walk away......

15. That having a variety of different great flavors of bubble gum that I can choose from to eat can curb a sweet crave.

16. Never knew that loosing weight could be so much fun and easy too.

17. Wish I could help people to see past the crave and falling for it...... seeing the future and knowing that loosing some weight could change and save a life.

18. Having to stand when some of my family members are concerned about me loosing so much weight..... to stand secure that this is what I really want to do.

19. Looking at photos of me from before I keep thinking why did I not put in a greater effort to loose weight sooner.....

20. How could I have allowed myself to get to a point of weighing 86kg and even more...

21. Thinking of all the days when I felt so desperate and depressed and did not want to be fat but did not know what to do about it..... how tiered I was of trying to loose weight without much results.

22. How great it feels when a neighbor or old friend compliments me on how great I look now that I have lost weight.

23. To remember and be aware most people that have lost weight gain it back and more ...... EASILY!

24. That I might have to eat Low Carb for the rest of my life if I want to be a healthy weight.

25. That I'm only human and eating Low CArb is a way of life and should not be an obsession.....

26. Not to judge other people struggling to loose weight or being obese......or falling of the wagon yet again.

27. How much I enjoy encouraging others to not sit under their weight issues but to take it by the horns and go for it..... LOOSING IT!

28. To never give up the fight over fat.....

29. I have learned to appreciate the stubborn streak I have...... it helps me to push forward and not give up when there is a plateau in weight loss.....

30. Planning my meals ahead and making sure I have all the ingredients on hand can save me a cheat meal.....

31. Keeping my menu simple..... to eat what I like from the foods allowed in Low Carb eating.

32. That accountability keeps me going and helps me to think twice before I choose to take a cheat meal......

33. Having other people wanting to loose weight in a group advising one another cheering one another on and encouraging one another can mean the world to me.......

34. Reading up on the subject of Low CArb keeps me informed and encouraged to keep going.

35.  I discovered that breakfast has a new face! Anything can be breakfast from left overs from supper the night before to even a salad or vegetable dish.
