I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT THE WEEKEND!
BACK HOME after a lovely weekend with dear friends staying in a wooden cabin close to Efesus killing off cockroaches etc. It was going to be tents but there were some rain. I might just choose the cabin above the tent. ;) Had a great time catching up with friends though. This is the look after a weekend of a "bit of dirt" and coming home to luxury.
The food was the best in a long time at this place. Normally it is a lot of pasta, potatoes and rice but this time around we had allot of protein, vegetables and salads. I had no reason not to stay in eating Low Carb.
I ended up not taking the extra cucumbers and cream cheese with. I used the extra space to take with a coffee press, kettle and lovely "no sugar" caramel coffee creamer. What a treat. My family on the other hand took chocolate with :D Yes I did have a bit of the chocolate.
The meals were basic but I had no excuse until lunch today...... We got served an oven baked dish of macaroni and cheese with ground meat and white sauce. Sorry to say but yes I ate it....
We got home late afternoon and I made a big lettuce salad with tomato, cucumber and peppers. Drinking lots of water...... BUT I might not try the scale tomorrow morning.
Planning to up my water intake this week.... I have been skimping on water. I would like to get into a regular schedule of speed walking in the morning. Will pull myself out of bed tomorrow morning and get going. MONDAY is always a good time to start new again. Lets make it a great week loosing those extra kilograms.
