I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 26 June
BREAKFAST was the famous "bun in a mug" with 2 fried eggs and a sprinkle of cheese. Coffee and cream.
We were taking the kids and dog to the beach to celebrate the end of the school year. SO I packed a picnic for lunch.
I packed a coffee on the road with a bit of flavored sugar free coffee creamer. The right thing for the road.
It turned out that the dog and the Turkish people on the beach just didnt go together. Dogs were allowed but the people turned out to be terrified of Teddy. SO WE HAD TO LEAVE! There it then turned out that our picnic and day at the beach became a picnic on the pavement with the dog on a leash ;)
LUNCH was picnic tortillas wraps for my family. I ate a few of the chicken nuggets (it had a bit of breading but not too much) I wrapped my chicken in lettuce leafs with a bit of tomato and cucumber and a slice of cheese. Was so yummy. Just not the location what we would have called a picnic at the beach. I shared a tin of sugar free coke with my husband. I had 3 cubes of 80% dark chocolate for dessert.
We got home midd afternoon and I was starving again. I had a coffee with cream and 2 pickles. To my amazement the pickles fixed me and took my craving for what ever away.
SUPPER was sushi/kimbab rolls. We always have this for a meal when my husband is not at home, he hates seaweed. The kids had rice in their seaweed bundles and I had a strip of eggs, cucumber sticks, a bit of tuna, a strip of ghurkin and mayonnaise and a dot of bbq sauce. Just what the doctor had ordered.
I got a great deal of water in today........ but not much exercise. Hoping to do that tomorrow.
