I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 17 June
Wow just got home! The metro broke down and it took us three hours to get home..... once the bus came out of the city and I saw the open sky and fields it was so soothing to the soul.
BREAKFAST was 2 eggs with grated cheese. Coffee and cream. I had another cup of coffee just before I left home.
Yesterday I opted and had a cup of cashews.... it kicked my bud and this morning on the scale there was a definite gain. I decided not to have a snack and rather enjoy lunch.
LUNCH was a Turkish durum in the bazaar...... it was a small tortilla with roasted chicken strips and salad. I really find it frustrating that they charge me tripple the price for a salad...... Even after I explained I just want the salad that normally comes in the wrap....... I fell for it and just ate the tortilla too.... I saw it as a carb treat for the week.
I had another coffee midd afternoon with a bit of chocolate.
SUPPER was at home, a lovely big salad of tomato, cucumber, red pepper strips, feta cheese and a tin of tuna with ranch dressing.
I'm drooling over the waffles and ice cream I decided to spoil my family with. There is a definite price to pay eating low carb. I see the positive side too. I have so much more energy than I used to have and I look great in my number 12 jeans ;)
I'm not sure how much water I drank today but it felt like allot. I walked around in the bazaar and city for about 3 hours. No problem today with getting enough exercise I just hoped that it burned some fat too. ;D
