I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 28 June
Feeling much better today. Felt like I was hit by a train yesterday. Actually went to bed early last night feeling a bit nauseous. The weather here is HOT and it barely cools down at night....... I remember last night as one of the most uncomfortable nights in a long time.
BREAKFAST was a piece of barbeque chicken! Yes! it is Saturday. My family enjoyed their home made banana bread and I enjoyed bbq chicken the neighbor brought over late last night as a gift. Coffee and cream to go along side.
I enjoyed another mug of coffee somewhere in the morning.
LUNCH was YES MORE BARBEQUE CHICKEN! I wrapped strips of it in big dark green lettuce leafs with a bit of mayonnaise. Was a big treat.
Had coffee mid afternoon.
Felt quite full after the day's chicken so when supper came around ....
SUPPER was a salad of tomato, cucumber and ghurkins. Had a T of cream cheese mixed with half a t of kakao poweder and a dash of stevia. Mixed it well and believe it or not but I sat and licked the little bowl out with my finger. ;)
Got my one and half liter of water and even more in for the day YAY!
Going to take the kids and dog for a brisk 4km walk again tonight. I must say the walking is terrible to get out to do but once done it feels so good.
Wasnt the healthiest day low carbing but Saturdays normally goes slow here.
I feel motivated and encourage to go forward and win this race - NO MATTER WHAT IT WILL TAKE!
