I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 16 June
This picture was supper tonight!
BREAKFAST was 2 eggs fried in butter with a bit of feta cheese. Coffee and cream.
I had to take the kids into the city for VBS..... it is a bus ride, a metro change and a short walk a full one and a half hours to get there and then back again the same.
Off course Mamma Bear made good use of the time and went to the main Turkish Basaar in the city.
Midd morning I bought myself about a cup of salted cashew nuts and enjoyed it while having a great time window shopping.
LUNCH was a salad with lettuce, tomato and shaved beef - A real Turkish meal.
I went for a cream cuppachino at a place and yes I ate the dark chocolate spoon that came with it. Not to much damage but I was tempted for a piece of cake but stayed clear.
I came home late afternoon with my very happy but tiered kids. SUPPER (picture above) was left over bbq chicken from yesterday wrapped up in lettuce leaves with a bit of cucumber, tomato and mayonnaise - I skipped the cheese.
I have definitely gotten my water in for the day and also my walking. I have walked about 4 hours today in the bazaar and the city.... FOR SURE NOT GOING SPEED WALKING TONIGHT ;)
There was no exciting news on the scale this morning.... the main thing is I'm fighting all I can not to pick up weight. I have been reading about low carbing more lately....... it seems that most people looses most of their weight Low Carbing the first six months. It seems after that it plateaus...... I have been at this for a year and a half now.... I still want to loose 5kg before I'm done! I need to come up with a strategy to drop the last five!
