I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 5 June
It's like riding a see-saw UP AND DOWN! Back up at 75 this morning! ONly way forward is persevering and not to give up........... I feel like I have a hangover today ;) No not a drinking hangover but a sugar hangover..... All I can think is that the apricots have kicked my sugar..... We have two big apricot trees in our garden. NOthing nicer than a fresh apricot of the tree. BUT NOT if it kicks in insulin and makes me feel like death the next day.
I find myself so frustrated with so many things..... the end of the home school year here etc etc.... just two weeks to go..... I CAN GO ON AND ON..... Cleaning the house does not come NORMAL FOR ME..... I absolutely dread it especially when I'm tiered, it was house cleaning day..... This afternoon was one of those days.......I got into a box of chocolate chips.... I think it was out of pure frustration. Just when I think: "Oh I'm no emotional eater, sugar has no hold on me!"....
Tomorrow is a new day and I'm hoping that I will get over seeing food as a BALM when I feel under the weather.....
On this high note ;)
BREAKFAST was 2 eggs fried in butter with a sprinkle of grated cheese. Coffee and cream.
Midd morning I had 2 half cups of coffee with cream. I ate the last bit of a piece of smoke cheese from Holland. Was absolutely amazing.
LUNCH was 3 cups of lettuce with olive oil and a few pieces of turkey ham snipped in.
THEN...... I GOT INTO THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS midd afternoon with a mug of coffee and cream.....
SUPPER will be a chicken fillet with mayonnaise and pepper. With a big salad with cucumber, tomato, pepper, feta cheese and pickled cucumber.
Our family will be going camping with friends this weekend. Our food will be catered for us...... OH I NORMALLY DREAD THESE EVENTS..... It will be a big group of people and it is normally a lot of pasta, vegetables stuffed with rice and so on. We live in a carb world! On the other hand I feel bad dragging my own food around to the camp..... I am taking some cucumber and cream cheese though with, nuts and good coffee. Hoping these treats could fill me up if lunch and supper does not. Breakfast is normally cucumber, tomato, feta cheese, boiled eggs and lots of bread. I can skip the bread.
We will be leaving tomorrow afternoon and will be back Sunday afternoon, I will come and tell about the weekend then. All the best dear friends. It is not easy loosing weight but it is so worth it.
