I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 20 June
Got on the scale last night and it clocked me 72.8 kilogram I almost fainted..... I got on a few times to make sure and for sure. This morning I got on and the same thing I weighed 71 kilograms...... THEN I PICKED IT UP SHAKED IT A BIT AND weighed again......... a whopping 75.4 kilograms!!!!!!!!!! I think the 75 kilograms is more like it. Oh well it felt good to see 71 kilograms I'm hoping to get there.....
BREAKFAST was 2 eggs with coffee and cream.
My girls made jam bars....... I HAD ONE .... and that while my low carb pot of soup was cooking on the stove.......
I also had coffee with coconut - to make me feel better after falling for the bars ;)
LUNCH was 3 cups of lettuce and a big bowl of chicken soup.
Normally I take two chicken breasts and cook it in my steam pot with 3 cubes of chicken stock. I cook it for about 2 hours to make sure the meat is soft and all the flavors are there. I add any low carb vegetable that I have. I added zucchini and 2 red peppers to this pot. I cook one pot and eat from it for a few days - my family actually wanted some of todays soup so not much left for mama bear.... Will just have to cook another pot soon.
You could add broccoli, cauliflower, green onion etc.
SUPPER will be a salad from cucumber and tomato and another bowl of soup.
