I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. ALL ABOUT TODAY: 5 July
GOOD NEWS on the scale this morning down from 77kg earlier this week to 75.6! this morning ......I am dancing the jig :D
BREAKFAST was 3 small eggs made into an omelette with 2T of tuna and 2T of grated cheese. Coffee and cream.
Midd morning had my coconut oil coffee.
LUNCH was 3 cups of lettuce chopped with 1 cup of chopped cucumber topped off with 2T feta cheese and 2T olive oil. Lots of black pepper.
Coffee and cream for a treat!
SUPPER was a family BBQ. I had a chicken breast with a small piece of spicy sausage. With zucchini chips baked in the oven.
I made a dessert for myself as my family were having waffles and ice cream. I used 2T of cream cheese, a bit of stevia for sweetener and 1T of cacao powder. Mixed it well and sat slowly savoring each bite.
Drank my 1 and a half liter of water for the day and am taking the dog now for a 4km brisk walk!
Amazing how loosing some weight again can be an encouragement. I have a goal to weigh 72kg by the time we go to the beach for a 10 day holiday the end of July.

Karin ek het nou so lekker deur jou blog gesit en lees en geniet. Ek is nou gediagnoseer met wheat/gluten en melk protein allergie en ek moet nou op 'n paleo eetwyse (wil nie eers die woord "dieet" gebruik nie) gaan. Ek het nou baie inspirasie gekry hier by jou. Dankie hoor. Ek het ook besef na die toets dat voedelsoorte waarvoor 'n mens allergies is verhoed dat jy gewig verloor. So hef aan vorentoe vir my.

Dit het my n lang pad geneem om te kom waar ek nou is. n Mens besef nie altyd dat die kosse wat jy so graag eat en crave juis dit is waarvoor n mens allergies is of nie goed is nie. Ek het nog n paar kilogramme om te gaan maar het accountability nodig of ek gaan dit nie maak nie. Dit is maar n pad om te stap. Ek voel soos n miljoen rand, soveel meer energie. Net erg my familie is suiker eters en ek is mal oor bak en brou.
