I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 12 July
Was a great Saturday at home. I love days like this where our family are together but everyone are doing their own thing or some things together.
BREAKFAST was late morning as we had to drive to a town close to us to pick up Turkish breads that the family whole heartedly wanted with melted cheese for breakfast. When we came back I stir fried a cup of frozen spinach for me, with two eggs and grated cheese. Was a lovely and filling breakfast. Coffee and cream.
LUNCH at our house on a Saturday comes and go. There is quite a bit of leftovers from the week for my family - that is off course not low carb........ I had 3 slices of tomato topped with spicy sausage circles and grated cheese. Grilled it in the microwave. Was perfect!
Had more coffee and cream through the afternoon.
SUPPER was half a chicken fillet sliced in strips and fried in butter. I made a chicken salad with chopped tomato and 1 cup of cucumber with ranch dressing.
Last night I got carried away and had a whole slab of dark chocolate...... wish I didnt do that. Now today I really struggle with sugar cravings..... just have to get through. Off course the influenced further is not any weight loss for a few days too....... The best thing I know is just to KEEP GOING!
We are going on holiday in two weeks time and I would love to loose some weight before then. The scale is not always a good indication of weight loss, I often hear people loosing fat that does not show in weight loss on the scale. I'm so hoping I can kick into that ;)
Weekends are always a hard time for me to stay on track. TRUE - I got myself here I am the only one getting myself out of this.
The kids wanted to take the dog to play soccer with them so I did the 4km walk alone. Was nice, with the wind in my hair and just the beauty of early evening.
