I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 16 July
I decided to go on a FAT FAST for three days. I have read about it before but in the one and a half years of LOW CARBING never have gotten myself into doing it. Apparently it kick starts weight loss and pushes through a stall. I have been sluggish to loose weight the last few weeks...... Only with a good deal of effort has any weight loss happen.
What I understand about FAT FASTING is that it works.
The science behind the madness as I understand is as follows: 5 small high fat meals are advised through the day. A meal should not be more than 200 calories at a time. I thought of logging on "fat secret" but did not want to get into the effort. I googled to see what 200 calories of fat look like.
Some ideas of a 200 calorie fat meal where:
-2 eggs baked in butter
-2T tuna fish with 2T of mayonnaise
-2T of feta cheese on 4 slices of cucumber
-Coffee with 1T of coconut oil and 1/4 cup cream blended well
-2T of cream cheese mixed with 1t of cacao powder with sweetner
-a few pieces of salami or sausage wrapped in lettuce leafs
-a match box size of cheese with a thin slice of butter
I know there is much more but this is what I could find or come up with for myself.
My day then was divided into 5 meals:
1. 2 eggs fried in butter with 2T of cream cheese.
Coffee and cream.
2. 2T of tuna fish with 2T of mayonnaise
Coffee and cream.
3. 1T of feta cheese and a chicken skin fried crisp.
4. 2T of cream cheese, cacao and a drop of sweetener.
Coffee and cream.
5. 4 slices of spicy sausage fried and folded into lettuce leafs with mayonnaise.
Coffee and cream.
I had a lot of water to drink. Probably a liter and a half. Going to take the dog for a 4km walk tonight.
I feel good not funny on the stomach as I might have thought I would, surprisingly I feel filled and full. Trying not to drool over my family's barbeque chicken for supper ;D
