I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. ALL ABOUT TODAY: 16 August
This is my PHOTO for the month of AUGUST! I have been going up and down but I'm hoping for more down the next few weeks. I'm dreaming of hitting 70kg solid.......
I was so discouraged yesterday with my almost no weight loss last week..... I took a good time again reading through the basics of the Atkins diet last night and had some time thinking of my pitfalls in Low Carb eating and where I could improve.
1. I think I have been eating too much cheese. I want to cut back to only 2T a day.
2. The cream in my coffee is great but I need to cut back to one cup of coffee with cream only. I will have the second cup with coconut oil and then a bit of coffee creamer in the other one.
3. I might also be having too big portions of meat. The sad thing is massive portions is not bringing good results for me in Low Carbing.
BREAKFAST this morning was out with some girl friends. I had coffee and cream but decided not to eat an egg before I leave and wait for 10h00 and eat breakfast out. I was starving by 11h30 when breakfast came along. It was a Turkish breakfast in the village. Off course there were lots of carbs...... I skipped all the nice breads, jams etc. I had a fried egg, green and black olives, marinated eggplant, cheese, tomato and cucumber and off course a cup of Turkish tea.
I got home after lunch and my family had a late breakfast at home too. We decided to wait till midd afternoon and have a mixture between lunch and supper.
LUN/SUP was oven roasted pumpkin pieces, chopped lettuce, feta cheese and a dressing made of olive oil, mustard and lemon. I got this recipe in Tim Noakes book. It was absolutely delicious.
I had a good coffee on the balcony with coffee and cream.
I had allot of water through the day and I'm still thinking of going walking with the dog. My family wants me to go play soccer with them. Its weekend and my family comes first........ So I'm a soccer playing Mama!
