ALL ABOUT TODAY: 31 August


This message at the top here is so true. Lets hold onto this for this week in walking the LOW CARB JOURNEY....... never give up!

I was down another 400g on the scale this morning logging in at 76.4! May there be good news tomorrow morning again.

BREAKFAST was a wonderful Turkish breakfast with my family. Eggs with spicy sausage rings, tomato, cucumber, olives and feta cheese. Coffee and cream.

Had another coffee midd morning with cream.

LUNCH was roasted chicken pieces wrapped up in big lettuce leafs with cucumber and little bit of tomato and a good helping of mayonnaise.

I had another coffee with cream late afternoon.

I skipped supper as my lunch was large and I did not feel like eating.

I had allot of water today as the weather was super hot again. Also it was my turn to go with the kids to the soccer field this afternoon. I REALLY did not feel like exercising today..... was just totally lazy...... I pulled myself together and speed walked around the court while they were playing. I feel good about it now.

TOMORROW IS MONDAY another good start.

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 30 August



OEOEOEOEOE BREAKFAST this morning. I used 2T of flaxseed flour, 1 egg, 1T olive oil and 1/2t baking powder. Mixed it well an fried it in butter to make pan cakes and served fried eggs and cheese on top. Off course I had to have a bit of mayonnaise with this and lots of freshly grind black pepper. Coffee and cream on the side. A TRUE SATURDAY MORNING!  (Pardon my daughter's wild hair curl swinging into the photo too - she is her Mama's photographer! ;)

I had another mug of coffee with cream before we left on an outing for the day. 

LUNCH was out and I had a chicken salad with mayonnaise. It was such a blessing.

Then off course I treated myself to a beautiful cream cuppachino. Was just what I needed with the three kids on the run. ;) 

We came home late afternoon exhausted...... I could barely walk up the hill home from the bus stop.....

SUPPER was left over ground chicken wrapped in lettuce leafs mixed with mayonnaise for me. Hmmmm I wouldn't say what my family had to eat.... AND MY LIPS ARE SEALED ABOUT THE APPLE PIE IN THE OVEN....   YES!!!!!!!!! No apple pie for me I promise.

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 29 August


Hey ho Hey ho another 200g down on the scale this morning! I'm weighing in at 76.8! Now to keep going down!

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs, coffee and cream.

Midd morning had 2T of coconut oil, 2T of butter and blended into my coffee. First time I tried the butter inside and it was better than I thought it would be.

LUNCH was earlier -  I was starving so I had a big bowl of the Low Carb soup. ITS DONE! I think I had my share of low carb soup for a few weeks ;) It served me well but I'm ready to move on ;)

Had coffee with a t of flavored coffee creamer for dessert.

MIDD afternoon I had a about 2T of ground chicken mixed with mayonnaise wrapped in lettuce leafs to pull me over until supper.

I was getting a salad ready to take to a family that invited us for supper. I thought taking a salad would provide some food for me too. I made a lettuce salad with oven roasted pumpkin, feta cheese, roasted pumpkin seeds and a delicious dressing of lemon, olive oil and mustard. We did then get pizza for supper and the salad was perfect for me.

The last two days were good LOW CARBING...... Especially when there is some good news on the scale. I find weekend very challenging........ I'm determined to keep going........

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 28 August


Today was a real good Low Carb day. My day started off with a 200g drop on the scale. I know it is not much but for me it is victory the scale is coming down.

BREAKFAST was two eggs fried in olive oil, coffee and cream.

Midd morning I had a mug of coffee with 2T of coconut oil blended in. THEN I READ on an article that coconut oil can stimulate insulin production and cause weight gain or a weight stall with some people...... OH NO! I am going to leave out coconut oil for a week and see if there is not a better weight loss.

Late morning I had a bowl of the Low Carb soup.

LUNCH was 3 cups of chopped lettuce, 2T of olive oil, pink salt and black pepper.

Midd afternoon I had another mug of coffee with a t of low carb flavored coffee creamer.

SUPPER - We had a friend over for supper. I made spagetti bollogniase and all the trimmings like garlic dough balls etc. I had a salad of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, gherkins and scooped the spagetti red sauce over my salad and topped it off with a bit of grated cheese. Was like a spagetti salad ;) Was actually very good.

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 27 August


In low carb THIS SIGN above is probably my favorite. When I feel like just going crazy and give into my cravings I tell myself this.

I'm standing at 77.2 on the scale this morning. Oeeeeee I wish it was 70! I just need to be patient now and get through.........

BREAKFAST was DIFFERENT. I made my family omelette with spicy sausage. It turned out I was the only one in the mood for it. I liked it. I had coffee and cream.

Midd morning I was out and took coffee with with a T of coffee creamer. When I came back late morning I had a few bites of the left over omelette.

LUNCH was a big bowl of the low carb soup. My dessert was a mug of coffee with blended with 2T coconut oil. Always a hit.

It was housecleaning afternoon and about 40dC - the summer needs to come to and end now, I'm sweating like a horse....... I had a T of peanut butter to get me going, I was hoping for enery 2 carbs a T. Not too bad.

SUPPER was a big bowl of lettuce chopped, 2T olive oil with a handful of black olives and THE LAST of the left over omelette and spicy sausage.

Had about 2L of water today. Easy as it is so hot. Planning on taking the kids and the dog for a 4km walk. Tonight is their turn to go with me ;)

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 26 August


Enjoying a bowl of low carb chicken and spinach soup for lunch. It feels like I'm retaining water........ probably getting ready for that T.O.M! Times like this I feel as big as an elephant. The only way there is through it as the scale is standing as a rock.

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs, coffee and cream.

Midd morning I had a mug of coffee blended with 2T of coconut oil.

Late morning I had a bowl of low carb chicken soup.

LUNCH was a big bowl of chopped lettuce with olive oil and pink salt. THEN one of the kids didnt eat an extra hot dog and I had it...... ONLY the sausage I gave the bun to the dog. Good one!

After lunch I had a mug of coffee with a t of flavored coffee creamer.

I made the kids some peanut butter and just could not resist the warm creamy dreamy of it I had 1t. Was proud of myself I really wanted more.

SUPPER was late afternoon for me filled with a big bowl of the low carb soup.

I had 2 liters of water today, I'm ready for summer to come to an end now.

I actually talked the kids into joining me for some exercise. They walk every other evening the 4km with me and the dog and then I take them to the soccer field and speed walk around the court for half an hour. Tonight was my turn to take them to the soccer field..........

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 25 August


Good old Monday! I was 77.2 kg on the scale this morning sigh! Wish rather I was in the  76kg range........ Back on eating two meals a day soup today. Hoping to get well into the 75 range this week. NEVER A DULL MOMENT LOW CARBING :D

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs with a thin slice of cheese. Coffee and cream.

Midd morning I had a match box size of left over chicken with mayonnaise. Enjoyed my coffee blended with 2T of coconut oil.

LUNCH was a big bowl of the famous chicken low carb soup and 2 cups of chopped lettuce with a dressing of olive oil, lemon and mustard.

Midd afternoon I had a great coffee with a touch of flavored coffee creamer. I also snacked on 8 black olives.

SUPPER was going to be a bowl of the soup......... I poured it in and heated it up in the microwave.... it didnt taste well. I think it went off..... I was disappointed and didnt have a plan B to eat. I ate a few chicken strips with ranch dressing. Will cook another pot of soup tomorrow. Oh well.....

The weather is trying to squeeze the last bit of heat out for the summer IT IS HOT! I had many glasses of water today. I  geared the kids up to go walk the dog with me and about three kilometers into the walk it was their end..... I came home with them....

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 24 August


TOMORROW IS MONDAY AGAIN! The beginning not just of a new week BUT ALSO THE BEGINNING OF MANY DIETS ;) I have a plan for this new week too. Weekends I let go a bit and then during the week I give it all. Not that I go overboard during weekends but I will eat a bit more protein or vegetables.

I have seen that cutting back on dairy and cheese, even less cream in my coffee have been  helping in weight loss. I will continue drinking 2T of coconut oil in my coffee once a day. Also cutting back on protein has helped me loose more weight.

Doing a 4 day soup fast last week kicked me through a weight stall. Again this week I want to for 3 days use the Low Carb soup for lunches and suppers.

BREAKFAST: We were going to enjoy breakfast with our friends at Ikea. I had coffee and cream early morning at home and had a boiled egg too before we left. Breakfast was at ten and I had half an omelette, a piece of sausage, olives, slice of tomato, cucumber and cheese. Was such a treat. I dragged some nice coffee with in my travel mug and enjoyed it through the day.

We went to church in the city and only came back home at 5 this afternoon.

LUNCH/SUPPER was 5 small chicken wings and a nice coffee with cream when we got home. Days like today I could eat a large pizza at pizza hut....... BUT I DIDN'T I JUST DROOLED OVER MY FAMILY'S PIZZA :D But hey the chicken wings were great just little..... compared to pizza ;)

Tomorrow is weigh in and I'm being ready for BIG TIME WEIGHT LOSS THIS WEEK!

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 23 August


This was midd afternoon SUPPER today. We were going to BBQ but my very athletic husband is practicing to do a marathon and hurt his ankle. We decided to change the outdoor bbq to an oven bbq bake. I ate the oven roasted vegetables on a bed of lettuce with a dressing of mustard and olive oil. Had a little piece of chicken.

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs. Coffee and cream.

Midd morning to pull me over to lunch I had coffee blended with 2T of coconut oil.

LUNCH was chopped lettuce, sliced tomato, olive oil and a few strips of left over chicken.

SUPPER then was the salad with chicken.

I had another coffee late afternoon with a bit of flavored coffee creamer and a few coconut oil chocolates my daughter made earlier this week.

Today the weather was very hot. I drank allot of water.

I feel torn between the kids wanting to walk to the soccer field and play soccer and me wanting to take the dog for a walk and some good exercise. I probably will take the kids to the soccer field and do a bit of running and walking there ;)

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 22 August


I was smiling all the way this morning......Happy about my good lost this week. First on the scale it wasnt a down this morning but I expected that as I did only have one bowl of soup yesterday. BUT I did fit into a 10/38 t shirt this morning....... I used to wear an 18. This was a pleasant surprise. I thought maybe a 12 but a ten never. It felt good.

BREAKFAST was two fried eggs. Coffee and cream.

We left home at 11h00 this morning and I had a big bowl of the low carb chicken soup before we ran out the door.

I took my midd morning coffee on the road with a bit of flavored creamer.

LUNCH was midd afternoon and I dragged a ziploc bag in my handbag filled with lettuce leafs all the way to the food court at the mall thinking I could eat it with some kind of protein. DID I EAT IT???????? We had fried chicken and I had a piece......was so delicious. Just a tiny piece and it was hard to just stay with that......  I honestly didnt feel like pulling my bag of lettuce out ;D I did have a bit of dark chocolate for dessert. My treat for the week.

SUPPER well I decided to chop the lettuce leafs and enjoy with olive oil, black pepper and lemon,.

I had a good deal of walking today so tonight I'm cuddling with my family and watching Rio 2 ;) and not walking my 4km.

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 21 August


Was down another 600g on the scale this morning! Oh Oh what a blessing and treat!

BREAKFAST was 2 eggs fried in olive oil, coffee and cream.

Midd morning I had coffee with 2T of coconut oil blended in.

LUNCH: Late morning I had a bowl of the low carb chicken soup to pull me over to lunch at one. At lunch I had a big bowl of lettuce leafs with about half a cup chopped cucumber and 2T of olive oil with black pepper and a touch of salt.

I had a coffee with cream for dessert - I wanted to add a bit of coffee creamer instead but was too late.

SUPPER: Late afternoon I had two slices of egg quiche that was left over from Breakfast on Sunday. I was starving and it is house cleaning day I needed that extra bit of energy. So I decided I would add a few strips of red pepper and that would be supper.

Wasnt the best SOUP DAY TODAY..... Tomorrow our family will be going on an outing..... I always fear the food part of it...... I can not drag soup around but will have soup for supper tomorrow night. I was thinking the left over soup I could have over the weekend for extra meals or when I feel like eating something.

I think anyway doing the Low CArb Soup eating more than 3 days is not good. It is only meant to kick start some weight loss. I am so amazed that I have lost so much weight eating the soup two meals a day. I have lost 3.1kg since MOnday after being on a weight loss stall for weeks...... this is the best news that I have lost some weight.

My daughter wanted to make something here Moma bear can eat too. She made me some coconut oil fat bombs. As easy as mixing the coconut oil with cacao powder and a bit of sweetener and freezing it in silicon ice cube trays. Now to limit myself to only a few a day. ;)

LUCKY DOG I didnt feel like walking tonight but did it and walked the dog our usual 4km...... Once I got going it wasnt so bad.

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 20 August


So exciting I was down another 1.1 kg on the scale this morning. I have lost 2.5 kg this week so far. After my stall for weeks this is so great. Going to do the low carb soup for lunch and supper until Friday and see if I can get a good kick loosing some weight.

BREAKFAST was 2 eggs fried in olive oil. Coffee and cream.

Midd morning I had another coffee with 2T coconut oil. At eleven I had a bowl of the low carb chicken soup.

LUNCH was a bowl of chopped lettuce with olive oil and a bit of salt. I had to go into the city and therefore at my lunch a bit earlier.

I met with a friend and had 2 coffees from a coffee machine....... not sure what the milk was and how high the carbs but it was a treat.

SUPPER was so needed..... I was starving by the time I got home this evening. I had a bowl of the low carb chicken soup for supper.

I had lots of water not sure how much. I also didnt walk the dog tonight but I walked allot in the city today.

Looking forward to see what the scale says tomorrow morning ;)

I was jumping gymnastics this morning: "I have lost almost 1 1/2 kilograms!"

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs with coffee and cream on the side.

Midd morning I had another coffee with 2T of coconut oil.

Late morning I had a bowl of the chicken low carb soup.

LUNCH was just a bowl of chopped lettuce with a squeeze of lemon and 2T of olive oil.

I had coffee and a bit of coffee creamer for my treat after lunch.

SUPPER: Midd to late afternoon I had a bowl of the chicken low carb soup again.

I took the dog for our usual 4km walk early this evening. I must admit I wasnt so good on drinking water today.. but it all probably came up to a liter and a half.... hoping that it would not influence my weight loss.

MAY IT BE GOOD NEWS ON THE SCALE TOMORROW MORNING TOO!

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 18 August


Mondays seems always more eventful than the rest of the week. We had to rush out the house to the local village medical clinic to get a tetanus shot for my daughter after getting a nasty cut in her leg from a rusted bicycle. Oh and then at the clinic I told an old lady the Dr s office is on the second floor while the building is only a one story. My dear husband in a daize told the Dr "thank you Sir" at the end of the event. Ahw well we can at least laugh about it......

STARTED TODAY with having main part of my meal the low carb vegetable chicken soup for a few days.  I'm working on breaking through my weight stall.

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs with coffee and cream.

Midd morning I had a mug of coffee with 2T of coconut oil blended in.
I also had a bowl of the low carb chicken soup.

LUNCH time was a bowl of chopped lettuce with black pepper and 2T olive oil.

Midd afternoon I had another coffee with flavored coffee creamer. 1T has 2 carbs. I had a t of this.

SUPPER was late afternoon I had a big bowl of the low carb chicken soup.

I had 2 liters of water today for sure. The weather was cooler but I kept being thirsty. My husband is exercising to do a marathon in November and I had to stay home from walking so he could do his running. The kids didnt want to join Mama bear on her walking. So I took the kids to the soccer field - I walked the width and ran the length a few times and then speed walked around the court 20 times.

Looking forward to get on the scale tomorrow morning ;)

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 17 August


I like on Sunday afternoons to sit and think about the week ahead and do some menu planning etc. It is a good time to also get my head in gear for my LOW CARB living this week. Last week was a disappointing Low Carb week......... I didn't loose any weight........ On holiday I went over board eating some fruit etc. The sugar really got to me I picked up some weight and my body is struggling this week getting back to loosing weight. Sad that a bit of a carb binge can get to me this much. I should know better from previous experiences. I know that a sugar trip could kick me back in weight loss for up to two weeks.....

I have a pot of chicken soup on the stove. When I get to this point in a  weight loss stall, I cook a pot of soup and eat it for a few days. Normally it helps me to break through the stall.

BREAKFAST: I made an egg, milk and spicy sliced sausage quiche. I served fried mushroom and pepper on the side. Was really nice. Even the kids commented on how tasty it was. I had coffee and cream too.

We went to church and I had coffee in a travel mug with a bit of flavored coffee creamer.

LUNCH was pieces of chicken strips with chopped lettuce and mayonnaise. Coffee and cream for dessert.

SUPPER will be a bowl of chicken soup.

I have had allot of water for today for sure my 2 liters in. I am taking a break and will walk go walking 4km tomorrow evening again.

HERE IS THE SOUP RECIPE:

I boil 1 large chicken breast, 2 chicken stock cubes, black pepper, a pinch of herb with about 1 1/2 liters of water in my pressure cooker for about 2 hours on low. Then I add low carb vegetables. This time I added 2 cups of frozen spinach, 1 red pepper chopped.

I then eat my normal 2 eggs for breakfast but then the soup for lunch with lettuce salad on the side and then again the soup for supper. Normally I do this for three days and it gets me into loosing weight again.

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 16 August


This is my PHOTO for the month of AUGUST! I have been going up and down but I'm hoping for more down the next few weeks. I'm dreaming of hitting 70kg solid.......

I was so discouraged yesterday with my almost no weight loss last week..... I took a good time again reading through the basics of the Atkins diet last night and had some time thinking of my pitfalls in Low Carb eating and where I could improve.

1. I think I have been eating too much cheese. I want to cut back to only 2T a day.
2. The cream in my coffee is great but I need to cut back to one cup of coffee with cream only. I will have the second cup with coconut oil and then a bit of coffee creamer in the other one.
3. I might also be having too big portions of meat. The sad thing is massive portions is not bringing good results for me in Low Carbing.

BREAKFAST this morning was out with some girl friends. I had coffee and cream but decided not to eat an egg before I leave and wait for 10h00 and eat breakfast out. I was starving by 11h30 when breakfast came along. It was a Turkish breakfast in the village. Off course there were lots of carbs...... I skipped all the nice breads, jams etc. I had a fried egg, green and black olives, marinated eggplant, cheese, tomato and cucumber and off course a cup of Turkish tea.

I got home after lunch and my family had a late breakfast at home too. We decided to wait till midd afternoon and have a mixture between lunch and supper.

LUN/SUP was oven roasted pumpkin pieces, chopped lettuce, feta cheese and a dressing made of olive oil, mustard and lemon. I got this recipe in Tim Noakes book. It was absolutely delicious.

I had a good coffee on the balcony with coffee and cream.

I had allot of water through the day and I'm still thinking of going walking with the dog. My family wants me to go play soccer with them. Its weekend and my family comes first........ So I'm a soccer playing Mama!

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 15 Augustus



Hoooowoooooo It's Friday! It was a long week...... the first week of the new home school year is always the toughest.....

I am discouraged today with no weight loss this week..... I have tried so hard looking at everything I eat, drinking my water, walking my 4km every night and then NOTHING! The best thing is to just keep going - I keep telling myself. My dear SKINNY MARATHON RUNNING HUSBAND then walked passed me and noted: "Do you think you have picked up some weight this holiday?" Not the best thing to comment....... IF LOOKS COULD KILL ;)

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs. Coffee and cream.

Midd morning I had some more coffee and cream. I also enjoyed a T of peanut butter on the side.

LUNCH was 3 cups of chopped lettuce with one cup of chopped red cabbage. A splash of sesame oil and 1T of lemon juice. I added 10 olives to this and about 2T of feta cheese. Was a meal for a king!

I was planning pizza for my family and oven baked eggplant boats for me. THE POWER WENT OUT......

SUPPER then was eggplant strips fried in the pan in olive oil topped with a bit of pizza sauce and grated cheese. I had a squeeze of mayonnaise with the slices.

I had allot of water today and am thinking of walking the dog but might skip tonight........ it was a long week I really feel tiered.

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 14 August


Me and my COFFEE DRINKING SWEETHEART! :)

The scale is standing........ I faithfully am going forward...... wise words are: "Not to let the scale decide how much I weigh....... and am worth.... and decide if I'm going forth to walk this path to a healthier me!" So there I have it. For the last year and a half I have learned that the scales are silent often but there is work being done in centimeters. I'm holding onto that now ;)

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs in butter, 1T of feta cheese enjoyed with a cup of tomato, cucumber and red pieces.

Midd morning I had a mug of coffee with cream.

LUNCH was chopped lettuce, sliced ghurkins, cucumber slices, 2T of mozarella cheese strip and lots of mayonnaise with olive oil.

Midd afternoon I enjoyed another coffee with cream.

SUPPER will be a ground chicken taco salad. I heaped lettuce then tomato, cucumber, chicken spiced with taco spicing, grated cheese and rounded of with mayonnaise.

Had my 2 liters of water for the day AND AM GOING TO WALK THE DOG for our usual 4km.

A full day of many things.......

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 13 Augustus

It's so hot here today I'm dreaming of sitting at the beach..... at least the heat drives me to drink more water.

BREAKFAST was 2 eggs fried in butter, 1 heaped T of grated cheese, coffee and cream.

Midd morning I needed a fill up and had a mug of coffee with 2T of coconut oil blended in.

LUNCH was 3 cups of chopped lettuce, 2T of tuna, 10 black olives, 2T of olive oil and 1/4 cup of chopped tomatoes.

Had another coffee with cream midd afternoon...... afternoon doing some house cleaning. Not one of my favorite jobs BUT IT NEEDS TO BE DONE ;)

SUPPER a 1 cup of zucchini noodles fried in garlic butter enjoyed to its fullest with half a small chicken breast and a good serving of mayonnaise.

Had about 2 liters of water today and going. I have been doing well this week walking the dog for our usual 4 kilometers.

The scale is standing still...... I am really hoping it will let go a bit and drop sweetly, nicely and dearly for me. ;)

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 12 August



Here I am going strong! Had so many things going on today from making delicious muesli in the oven for my family to grinding peanuts to peanut butter for my kids. Nothing like warm fresh peanut butter........... I tasted a little and had a few crumbs of the muesli. I NEED TO STAND AND LEARN TO LIVE IN A CARB WORLD!

I logged my food at fat secret today and my carbs were 21, my fats 83 and my protein 54. I feel good about it and hoping to see some change on the scale.

Talk about THE WEATHER it is in the late thirties here and going higher. This is the time I wish we had a pool.

BREAKFAST was 2 fried eggs in butter, coffee and cream.

Midd morning coffee and cream again.

LUNCH was 3 cups of chopped lettuce, a cup of sliced cucumber, 3T of feta cheese, olive oil, black pepper and a sprinkle of vinegar.

Had half a mug of coffee with a dot of cream.

Had two seaweed sheets spread with mayonnaise and a bit of grated cheese for a late afternoon snack.

SUPPER will be half a chicken fillet, with grilled eggplant circles spread with a bit of olive oil and a tomato pepper spread.

Had a lot of water today. No problem finishing 2 liters of water. Actually our family of five finishes a 19 liter can of water a day now in summer. Didnt think we will ever get to this.

Going to take the dog for our 4 kilometer walk tonight. Hoping so that the walking would burn some extra fat ;)

Again and again I just get back to the point where I realize the best way to loose weight the low carb way is to keep to the basics and keep it simple. As simple as that!
Look who is talking...... I'm in the same boat as you. Struggling to loose weight. I'm not giving up going to reach my goal weight of 70kg.

ALL ABOUT TODAY: 11 August

And here we are first day of NEW SCHOOL YEAR! Was one crazy day today...... and it is still going. Home schooling the kids drives me to FOOD! :D

BREAKFAST was two fried eggs, coffee and cream.

Had another coffee at ten with coffee and cream.

LUNCH was 3 cups of chopped lettuce with 1 cup of sliced cucumber, olives, feta cheese, black pepper and 2T of olive oil.

Midd afternoon I had another coffee with cream.

SUPPER was half a tin of tuna fish stir fried with 1 cup of frozen spinach in butter. Had a sprinkle of cheese with this.

I walked the dog 4km tonight. I do not know between me and the dog who enjoyed it the most. I got a bad cold while on holiday at the sea and didnt walk for almost a week. Was such a joy tonight.

The weather here is hotter than ever and I drank 2 liters from my glass jar on the kitchen counter and more.

I have decided the best way to loose those extra kilograms is to take it slow and keep it simple.......

ALL ABOUT A TWO WEEK HOLIDAY AT THE BEACH - LOW CARBING!



LIFE IS GOOD! Our family had a wonderful holiday at the beach. I was so ready for the break and I had a lovely time of rest and reading. We also had friends from South Africa unexpected join us for a week - they off course brought all these amazing treats from South Africa. Woolworth jelly tots, chocolate eggs etc. I know these were not at all LOW CARB ;)

I took my weighing scale with to make sure I stay on track. It was like my accountability partner. I kept an eye on my weight every morning and tried hard to stay within boundaries. The summer fruit here is just amazing peaches, grapes, plums etc. I allowed myself a bit of fruit as a treat. My biggest problem was the bowls of popcorn every night with the kids watching movies....... oh well it was a treat.

What made this summer holiday different from other previous years is that I felt in control and confident with the food I ate and my weight. I had such a peace where I normally would feel driven and stressed on what I can eat and what not.  I would be grumbling and drooling over my family's desserts and food. Not this time, I had my treats and was content.

I did picked up a bit through the holiday, I knew this would happen but I decided to take it on and enjoy it....knowing life will go back to normal soon..... will weigh in on Monday and MOVE IT!

I had lots of time to think about LOW CARBING and set goals for the next few months. No goals and no accountability is not a good thing for me. I would like to weigh back in the 72 kilograms by midd October when our family will be attending a conference. An event like that is always a good motivation for me to want to look my best ;)

Starting tomorrow again logging my food at "fat secret". I want to keep my fats high, carbs low and protein in the medium range. Seeing if I can get my calories around a thousand a day. When I do this I know I will loose.

Life is all back to normal and tomorrow is another LOW CARB JOURNEY DAY!
