I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

SEPTEMBER 11
Oh well.... reading the sign here on the top of the page makes me feel a bit discouraged about my weight loss this week. I know I can't loose a kilogram every week. It would be nice though. The honey coated pork circles has really kicked me back out of weight loss. Now I need to make another come back and start loosing.
I made a pot of chicken soup today. I just made the broth and filled up three jars. I want to use it as extra nutrition in the morning and afternoon inbetween meals.
I have been reading about advice on eating two meals a day and have a third meal as a snack. I want to try to work that into my Low Carb eating. I was thinking of having a big breakfast with eggs, fat and vegetables. Then a big salad for lunch or vegetables and then the broth for supper and inbetween.
BREAKFAST this morning was 2 eggs fried in butter with a sprinkle of cheese. Coffee and cream.
Midd morning I enjoyed my coconut oil coffee and a few pieces of beef jerky (a friend brought it as a gift from America). It is such a treat.
LUNCH was 2 cups of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, ghurkins, chicken strips and mayonnaise with a bit of olive oil.
I went visiting a friend and had coffee there - I suspect it had milk in and not cream.
SUPPER was a cup of the chicken broth and a few strips of roasted chicken.
Taking the dog and kids for a 4 kilometer walk tonight. Not feeling like it but I know afterwards I will feel good........
LIVING A LOW CARB LIFE :D
