I have been on a diet journey since my midd twenties, but as I entered my forties the scale climbed me steady up to 89 kilogram and I knew I had to loose weight! After I discovered recently that I was becoming insulin resistant I had a new urgency in my life to loose weight. Not just to loose it but find a lifestyle of loosing it. I decided to go by the way of LOW CARB EATING. This blog is about my journey..... the good and the bad.....

SEPTEMBER 7
GOOD NEWS TODAY: 75.5 on the scale this morning! This was so encouraging.
BREAKFAST was a feast. I fried some sausage circles with 2 eggs. Coffee and cream. The power was off when I got up this morning so I had to make another plan this morning to get my cuppa. I just could not imagine the day without it.
I left home midd morning with the kids on a trip out today.
LUNCH was chicken salad for me. Lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, a chicken fillet roasted and lots of mayonnaise. Yum!
Had a coffee out in town with cream while the kids were enjoying their ice creams.
SUPPER - On our way back on the metro I saw a friend of mine. She was coming back from the basaar in the city. SHE HAD BROCCOLI in a bag....... I have not seen broccoli yet this season and I have been waiting for it to come in season. Of all the vegetables it is my total favorite. My friend insisted that I take some of her broccoli We TRADED: I gave her a lovely seed bread and she gave me a head of broccoli. ;) Supper was a blessing of stir fried broccoli with garlic, butter and chicken.
It was my turn tonight to join the kids on the soccer field. I got all dressed up and then my neighbor insisted that the kids go with her daughter playing soccer and I have tea......... It was the cultural right thing to do and the kids was fine with me having tea there. Off course there was cake etc. etc. etc....... I politely just had some lovely Turkish tea. Oh well tomorrow evening its the kids turn to walk with me.
TOMORROW IS MONDAY! I feel motivated to keep going this week to reach my goal of 70kg. Every little bit forward is forward to my goal. I have come from 89.8 kilograms and going.
